The Deccan Education Society aimed to develop a centre of learning to impart quality education in English medium right in the heart of the city. This vision was brought into reality with the establishment of DES School , formerly known as NPPS (New Pre-Primary School) and NPS ( New Primary School).
The school was started to cater to the long standing demand of parents who wished to educate their children in English medium school. The school has flourished due to the continuous efforts taken by the DES Society and the chairmen of the School Committees from time to time, the former Principals Mrs. Alka Agate , Mrs. Sudha Limaye, Ms .Sujata Naidu and the present Principal Mrs. Jyoti Bodhe and the dedicated staff in the last 35 years. Due to over-whelming response, support and trust by parents and society, the school has also started with the afternoon session from 2017.
With the changing needs of community, the school aims at the holistic development of the pupils through graded responsibility as well as environmental and social awareness. The school also aims at preparing pupils for an excellent academic background to serve their motherland in the best possible manner and to become ideal citizens of the country.
