'Smart Gaushala Project' in Pune: Discussion on 'Coloring from Cow Dung'
The Maharashtra Gosheva Aayog is implementing a Smart Gaushala project to develop 40 Gaushalas in the state as modern and sustainable facilities for the care of indigenous cow breeds. The project will generate CNG from cow dung and promote the use of cow dung and urine in various products. The project is aligned with the government's goal of promoting a circular economy and reducing environmental pollution.

Honoring Safety First: Deccan Education Society Launches Disaster Management Guidebook for Students
The Deccan Education Society has recently released a comprehensive Disaster management guidebook tailored for students. This workbook encompasses various scenarios, including first aid procedures, handling food poisoning incidents, addressing animal bites, earthquake responses, fire disasters, flood management, among others. It also features emergency contact numbers and essential signs for quick reference during emergencies.
Led by the visionary concept of Hon. Dr. Sharad Kunte and expertly compiled under the guidance of Shabnam Tarde, this unique resource was collaboratively developed by sports teachers from various schools, pooling their knowledge and experience.This initiative empowers students with the information and skills they need to stay safe and respond effectively in emergency situations, fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience within the community.
Namsha @125 : A Centenary History Book Unveiled at Grand Ceremony by a Navin Marathi Shala,Pune
2 January 2024 : Navin Marathi School, Pune celebrated its centenary silver jubilee by unveiling the school history book, "Namsha @125." Chaired by Pramod Rawat, Chairman of Deccan Education Society Governing Body and Council, the event featured key figures such as DES Secretary Dhananjaya Kulkarni and Vice Chairman Advocate Ashok Palande, Dr.Sharad Kunte, Dr. Swati Joglekar, Ms. Prajakta Pradhan, Mrs.Umranikar. Modi Lipi expert Ponkshe was also present on this occasion.The book, a historical treasure, includes signatures of notable figures like Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve and a photograph capturing Governor Sir Wilson's visit in 1924. It meticulously chronicles 125 years of the school's evolution, from Holkar Wada to its current structure, and highlights the contributions of principals, scholarship recipients, and distinguished students, creating a vivid portrayal of the school's journey.
"Namsha @125" stands as a testament to the rich legacy of Navin Marathi School, encapsulating its essence and milestones. This visually compelling book is not just a commemoration of the past but a celebration of the vibrant history that has shaped the institution into what it is today, fostering a sense of pride among former students, teachers, and the broader community.
NEMS Annual Sports Day Highlights Traditional Martial Arts Mastery in Pune
14th December 2023 : New English Medium School Shaniwar Peth ,Pune students, teachers and parents have witnessed a remarkable Annual Sports Day, where nearly 850 students have demonstrated their skills of traditional Indian martial arts. Savyasachi Gurukulam leader- Shri. Lakhan Jadhav & his team, taught the various skills to all the students in 10 days. Audience was mesmerized by the demonstrations of the students and team members.
Arjuna award winner Surekha Dravid and Yogarjuna award winner yogi Pallavi Kavane and Principal of Dyanprabodhini School Milind Naik, NDA as well as Soham Bachal, an alumnus of D.E.S. School, was the presiding officer of the entire event.
On this occasion, Dr. Sharad Kunte Chairman, Council & Governing Body of Deccan Education Society, Prabandhak Dr. Savita Kelkar, School Committee chairman Advocate Ashok Palande, Council Member Milind Kamble , N.E.M.S. secondary Headmaster Pritam Joshi, and Hemangi Deshmukh, Headmistress of the primary section and other dignitaries of the institution were present.
