'Smart Gaushala Project' in Pune: Discussion on 'Coloring from Cow Dung'
The Maharashtra Gosheva Aayog is implementing a Smart Gaushala project to develop 40 Gaushalas in the state as modern and sustainable facilities for the care of indigenous cow breeds. The project will generate CNG from cow dung and promote the use of cow dung and urine in various products. The project is aligned with the government's goal of promoting a circular economy and reducing environmental pollution.

1,000 Trees Planted at Fergusson College Campus, Pune
18 July 2025: At Deccan Education Society, Pune, we strongly believe that education extends beyond classrooms and includes fostering a sense of social and environmental responsibility.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and ecological conservation, we undertook a significant tree plantation initiative, planting 1,000 trees across the Fergusson College campus.
The initiative was graced by the esteemed presence of Param Pujya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati (Founder, Shrutisagar Ashram, Phulgaon), Mr. Nanasahab Jadhav (Sanghchalak, Western Maharashtra Region), Mr. Pramod Rawat (chairman, D.E.S., Pune), Adv. Ashok Palande (Vice chairman, D.E.S., Pune), Mr. Vivek Mathkari (Governing Body Member, D.E.S.) and Dr. Anand Katikar (Secretary, D.E.S).

The "Pune Education Conference" was organized on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Amphitheater of Fergusson College, Pune. The conference, focusing on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), highlighted the Maharashtra Government’s newly published state curriculum syllabus.

Inter-School and Inter-College Hindustani Classical Music Competition - 2025
5 February 2025 : Pune witnessed a celebration of musical excellence as the Deccan Education Society (DES) Cultural Committee successfully concluded its Hindustani Classical Music Competition. World's Largest Indoor Yoga Festival - MAT to MIND organized by D.E.S. Primary School
18 January 2025 : In an extraordinary display of flexibility, focus, and collective effort, D.E. Society’s D.E.S. Primary School has set a new World Record India in world’s largest indoor yoga event ‘MAT TO MIND’. On 18th January 2025, a staggering 1200 students gathered to perform asanas for 150 minutes, achieving a remarkable feat that has earned them a place in the record books.
