Captivating study tour to Delhi

On March 2nd, 2024, students from DES's Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj College of Agri-Business Management, Sangli, embarked on a captivating study tour to Delhi. This enriching journey provided them with a unique opportunity to delve into the past, present, and future of agriculture in India.

Their exploration included prestigious landmarks like the Rastrapati Bhavan, the ICAR Library, and the National Agricultural Science Museum. These visits offered valuable insights into the history and ongoing advancements in the agricultural sector. Students gained a deeper understanding of traditional practices, marveled at the intricate model of Shalimar Bagh in the National Agricultural Science Complex, and absorbed historical significance at the Red Fort and India Gate.The tour culminated with a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, leaving the students awestruck by its beauty and rich heritage.


Celebrating Language and Culture

In honour of Marathi Bhasha Din, DES's schools across Maharashtra organised a variety of activities on February 27, 2024, the birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet Kusumagraj. Early exposure to Marathi language was promoted by younger students' enjoyment of performance , watching engaging stories, and singing along to Marathi songs. The Preamble to the Constitution was read aloud in Marathi during special assemblies, and cultural events such as traditional dances and displays showcasing Maharashtra's rich heritage came next. As the day came to an end, students performed devotional pieces and took part in lively song-and-dance performances, all with the goal of advancing the Marathi language and encouraging a greater understanding of the language's cultural importance among the school's student body. 


World Surya Namaskar Day

Discover the spirit of wellness at the Navin Marathi Shala, Satara as they celebrated "World Surya Namaskar Day" with zeal and enthusiasm. Led by our esteemed Head of School, Mrs. Hema Jadhav, students were enlightened about the significance of regular exercise and the transformative power of Surya Namaskar. In a radiant display of unity, Sports Teacher Sarika Lamkane arranged captivating demonstrations of Surya Namaskar, shaping sun rays from the students themselves. The initiative received wholehearted support from senior teachers including Mrs. Manisha Chavan, Mangal Salunkhe, Rehana Dange, and Prakash Raut. With a collective resolve to embrace Surya Namaskar daily, we embark on a journey of holistic well-being and vitality.


The Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition

The Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition offered a diverse array of educational resources, including informative charts, anatomical models, informational posters, educational videos, engaging presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive games.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest statistics related to breast cancer, gain insights into its causes and risk factors, learn to recognize signs and symptoms, and delve into the various stages, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options available. Furthermore, common misconceptions were dispelled, and avenues for connecting with support groups were made accessible.The inauguration of this pivotal event was done by Dr. Swati Jogalekar, Vice Principal of Fergusson College, Pune. Dr.Shikha Jain Director IMDR, Pune added her distinguished presence of this gathering.
